First exhibition in Rome for AMICALEMENT SOI
First exhibition in Rome for AMICALEMENT SOI, highlighting French know-how in the eternal city.
For the windows of the Institut français Saint-Louis in Rome, the French designer, Angélique, offers an original staging of silk squares, accompanied by pattern designs. Through authenticity, ethics, sustainability and the quality of craftsmanship, she questions the printing circuits in the fashion world.
Amicalement Soi is a silk square printed in France that perpetuates and revisits regional know-how. “It is above all the story of a meeting with the Feinte family in Laval and the fabrics of Avesnières for a short and ethical fashion circuit.” (Angélique Gruau)
Our squares were on display throughout the month of October, between Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, at the French cultural center in Rome. The aim of this project was to showcase French culture internationally.
The choice of Rome for the first exhibition of Amicalement Soi was quite personal for Angélique, who seeks to deepen her knowledge of materials and fabrics. By coming to Rome to study textile innovations at the Accademia de Costume e Moda, Angélique was able to combine learning and creation by launching her brand in a short and local circuit 100% made in France!
Thanks to Place Cavour and the French Institute Center Saint-Louis who made this project possible. Thank you all for your presence and your safety!
